20% Pullet Starter-Grower (Medicated AMP/BMD) is a a soft crumble that's ideal for younger animals and easier eaters, built at Mid South Feeds for laying hens, broilers, and back-yard flocks. Crude protein is held to a minimum of 20%, formulated for consistent egg production, plumage condition, and feed conversion. The recipe runs from our Alma, Georgia mill on the same line that our family has milled feed on since 1991, so what comes out of the bag this week looks and smells like what came out of it last week — that consistency is what our 300+ dealers across the Southeast keep buying.
Use 20% Pullet Starter-Grower (Medicated AMP/BMD) pullet through full lay, paired with clean fresh water, free-choice forage where the species needs it, and a clean feeder. Packaged in 50 lb bags for easy handling at the barn or store. Feeding Directions
- Layer hens (in production): feed free-choice, expecting roughly 0.25 lb (4 oz) per bird per day. Provide oyster shell or grit on the side and clean fresh water at all times.
- Pullets / growers: feed free-choice from week 9 through point of lay; transition to a layer ration at the onset of egg production.
- Chicks (0–8 weeks): start on a chick starter; transition to grower ration at week 9.
- Always provide adequate feeder and waterer space. Store feed in a dry, rodent-proof bin and feed within 60 days of milling for best freshness.
Medicated formula: Read the bag tag and observe all listed withdrawal periods before slaughter or before consuming eggs / milk from animals fed this product.
