About 20% King Rooster Pellet
20% King Rooster Pellet is a extruded pellet form so birds and animals get a complete bite every time and waste from sorting is kept low, built at Mid South Feeds for quail, pheasant, gamefowl, and conditioning birds. Crude protein is held to a minimum of 20%, formulated for feather quality, vigor, and conditioning. The recipe runs from our Alma, Georgia mill on the same line that our family has milled feed on since 1991, so what comes out of the bag this week looks and smells like what came out of it last week — that consistency is what our 300+ dealers across the Southeast keep buying.
Use 20% King Rooster Pellet chick through mature bird, paired with clean fresh water, free-choice forage where the species needs it, and a clean feeder. Packaged in 50 lb bags for easy handling at the barn or store.

Feeding Directions
- Game birds in production: feed free-choice, expecting roughly 1.5 oz per bird per day for quail, 2.5 oz for pheasant, and 3.5 oz for chukar.
- Conditioning gamefowl: feed 2–3 oz per bird per day, supplemented with scratch grains as desired.
- Provide grit, oyster shell (for hens), and clean fresh water at all times.
- Adjust based on body condition, weather, and breeding cycle.
