Feed free choice in a covered trough. DO NOT offer any other mineral or salt during the time you are feeding this mineral. Cattle should consume approximately 4 to 6 ounces per head per day, depending on body weight and range conditions. Six ounces of this mineral will supply 3 milligrams of supplemental selenium. This high magnesium mineral should be fed to cattle grazing on green winter pastures such as oats, rye, and wheat and to cattle in immature native spring grasses.

CAUTION: This mineral contains added selenium. Do not permit excessive consumption. Intake of supplemental selenium from this mineral should not exceed 0.3ppm on a complete ration basis or 3 milligrams per head per day for beef and dairy cattle.

Description

14-1-14 Winter Grazer Mineral is a free-choice supplemental mineral formulated to support grazing livestock through cold weather and limited forage conditions. With a balanced blend of key minerals and vitamins, including a higher calcium and magnesium ratio, this formula helps maintain optimal nutrient levels that forages alone may not provide during winter months.

Designed for use when pasture quality declines in colder seasons, 14-1-14 Winter Grazer Mineral delivers essential nutrients to help support digestion, immune function, and overall condition. Its free-choice form encourages consistent intake while supplying supplemental trace minerals, salt, and vitamins that contribute to enhanced forage utilization and metabolic balance.

This mineral supplement is ideal for producers looking to maintain herd health and body condition when cattle, sheep, or goats face increased nutritional demands in winter. 14-1-14 Winter Grazer Mineral helps support sound condition, efficient performance, and long-term productivity through challenging grazing periods.

FAQs

The 14% magnesium fortification helps prevent grass tetany, a critical concern when cattle graze rapidly growing, lush pastures. Winter pastures high in potassium and low in magnesium create increased risk for this metabolic disorder. The high magnesium level provides essential protection during the winter grazing season.

The complete trace mineral package includes copper (201 ppm min), zinc (567 ppm min), manganese (232 ppm min), selenium (15 ppm min), cobalt (1.1 ppm min), iron (6000 ppm min), and iodine (5 ppm min). These trace minerals are provided at optimal levels to support immune function and overall cattle health. The comprehensive package ensures cattle receive essential micronutrients during winter grazing.

Feed free choice in a covered trough for self-service consumption, eliminating the need for daily hand-feeding. This free choice feeding convenience allows cattle to consume mineral as needed based on their requirements. The covered trough protects the mineral from weather and maintains quality.
